In previous releases, we discussed the slowing growth of median houses prices in the Portland metro area, but now it appears that it was merely reaching its high watermark. The increasing prices in Portland outpaced the appreciation, and many lenders; concerned with instability within the federal government, have been cautious in lending money against ever-increasing prices. As a result, prices began dropping for the first time based on annual averages. Around 1.3% reduction in those median home sales for Portland represents around a $5,000 drop overall, with that median price being around $385,000 as of right now. We speculate these prices will continue to drop until the average listed prices begin to hover around what would a more realistic fair market value, or the replacement value for those same residences.

Spending your time on non-result producing activities, as opposed to actions that actually generate clientele, can be seen as a waste of potential. You want to optimize the time you have to focus on those few actions that generate leads. Activities like passing out flyers and door hangers in neighborhoods, paying for ad space on signs and in papers, and being engaged in your local community are all things that may help generate leads for you, but have you thought of generating a social media presence?
