PORTLAND, OR – What do you get when you mix freezing temperatures? Freezing rain. And that’a what’s expected in the Columbia Gorge and Hood Valley this weekend.
So, if you’re planning on heading east – or are already there – be prepared, have chains if you need them, salt to put outside your house. It’s a better safe than sorry weekend.
As for Portland and the rest of the metro area, it won’t be as bad.

SATURDAY – Saturday will likely be the best day of the weekend. There’s a 20 percent chance of rain through 10 a.m. but the wind will die down. to about 11 mph The high should be around 46 degrees. And while it will be mostly cloudy through the day, that means it might also be partly sunny. So, hold on to that because it gets cloudier with the rain get more likely as the night goes on.
